Q:  What information do we collect?

 

A: We do not automatically collect personally identifiable information (e.g. your name, e-mail address, home address, telephone number, credit card information), apart from that which you expressly provide,.  Such information is typically collected on our order forms when you register to receive products or services from the Website and/or access our “Members’ Area”.  With the exception of information necessary to process payments, any personal information or video content that you post, publish or disclose online becomes publicly available and may be collected and/or used by third parties. 

 

During your usage of the Website, please be advised that we collect technical information, including but not limited to IP addresses, screen resolution, browser language and viewer device information.  We also collect anonymous demographic information, including but not limited to your postal code or zip code, the originating website and the date and time of your visit.

 

When you visit the Website, we may send one or more cookies (session or persistent) to your computer in order to specifically identify and verify your browser session.  Please note that if you remove the persistent cookie, some of the Website’s features may not operate properly.

 

Q:  What do we do with the information we collect?

 

A: With the information you provide us, we satisfy your orders and/or requests, attempt to prevent fraudulent transactions, verify your age and contact you if necessary.  Your personal information is not disclosed with advertising agencies and/or market researchers.

 

Your username (not your email address) is displayed to other Website users alongside the content you upload, including but not limited to videos, comments and messages sent to YouGoggle.com’s private mail.

 

Other Website users have the ability to contact you through the private messages’ forum.  Any videos that you share on the Website may be redistributed through the Internet and other media channels.  We may use your email address to contact you without consent for non-marketing and/or administrative purposes, including but not limited to customer service and significant Website changes.

 

Wherever possible, we use non-identifiable information (i.e. IP addresses and anonymous demographic information), rather than personal information.  Non-identifiable information is utilized to point your attention to content we think might be of interest to you given previous preference.  As part of our continued effort to gauge and increase interest in and traffic to the Website, we may use aggregate data to examine the behaviour of our users.  Finally, we use the collected information to not only monitor traffic to the Website, but not evaluate and improve our proffered services.

 

Personal information is stored and processed in multiple jurisdictions and, so by using the Website, you hereby consent to any such transfer of information outside your jurisdiction. 

 

Q:  Do we share the information we collect with third parties?

 

A: There are only a few legitimate circumstances that warrant the sharing of your information with third parties.  For example, we may use the statistical results produced from aggregate data inform advertisers of user-demographics and behaviour, as well as the number of users that clicked and/or have been exposed to certain advertising banners.  From our analyses, we undertake to only provide third parties with aggregate data.

 

It may also be necessary to disclose collected information with third party service providers for the purposes of maintaining our servers and processing or filling orders for the products and services purchased through the Website.  The said third party service providers have their own privacy policies in place which are largely reflective of the Policy.

 

The collected information may also be disclosed in exceptional circumstances in the event it is required by law, Court order or government authority, or when we genuinely believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to identify, contact or institute legal proceedings against a party causing injury to or interfering with the rights and/or property of the Website, another user or anyone else (i.e. identify theft or fraud). 

 

Q:  How long do we retain information?

Q:  Do we save any correspondence that you send to us?

 

A: Any correspondence sent by you to the Website, by way of electronic mail or facsimile, will be stored in your account.  We may also choose to retain customer service correspondence and other correspondence as sent from us to you.  Such records are maintained for the purposes of measuring and improving the quality of our customer service and investigating potential cases of fraud and violation of our Terms of Use.  Over time, we may delete these records in accordance with the law.

 

Q:  Is the information submitted in public forums confidential?

 

A:  We are not able to secure the confidentiality of any information submitted and exchanged within public forums.  While the Website may offer chat rooms, message boards and/or news groups for users to communicate, it is imperative that you KEEP IN MIND THAT ANY INFORMATION DISCLOSED IN THESE ARENAS AUTOMATICALLY BECOMES PUBLIC.  Therefore, please ensure caution is exercised when disclosing personal information as it is done at your own risk.

 

Q: Is the Website secure?

 

A: The transmission of information through the Internet is not entirely secure.  While we employ commercially physical, managerial and technical safeguards to ensure the integrity of your personal information, we are unable to guarantee the security of your information as transmitted to us. 

 

Q: Does this Policy apply to linked websites other than the Website?

 

A: The Policy does not apply to affiliated websites.  Thus, by clicking on a third party advertising banner or other link, you will be redirected from the Website to the third parties’ webpage.  While we may permit third parties to offer subscription and/or registration-based services on the Website, we are not responsible for the privacy policies of such websites.  Please direct your attention to the privacy policies of the third party websites and direct any concerns regarding external links to the websites’ administrator or webmaster before you provide any personal information.
